The 2023 OJHL Combine is scheduled for April 27 - 30, 2023 at the Sixteen Mile Sports Complex in Oakville, ON.  It will consist of Players and Goalies where all players will have the opportunity to perform in front of all 23 OJHL Member Club coaches and general managers.  With the support of Warrior Hockey, InStat, Jostens Canada, Troy Apparel and College Hockey Inc. the marketing arm of the NCAA Division 1 Men's Hockey Program this event is certainly one of a kind. 

This event is not open to Canadian players registered with a team outside of the Ontario Hockey Federation or junior aged players that are currently carded with a team within the Hockey Canada structure.

Players will participate in one practice and four games as well as two seminars.  Each player will have their games analyzed by InStat and will have a scout report developed by OJHL Scouts.  Scout Reports and Analytics will be available for players on their personal InStat page and will be sent to all OJHL Teams after the event.  Players will also receive their event jersey, socks and an event gift.

Additionally, the OJHL must follow Regional Health Unit and the Province of Ontario Guidelines related to any regulations including COVID 19 that are approved by the Regional Health Unit, the Ontario Hockey Federation and the Ontario Hockey Association.

Registration is open from January 9, 2023 to March 20, 2023. 

All registrations will be done with the registration platform.  Payment will be made at the time of registrations.  There are no REFUNDS.

The number of available spots are capped by position.  Once a position is filled you will not be able to register but rather you will be put on a wait list in case of an injury or a player registered an is ineligible to attend.

One hundred and seventy players will be divided into ten teams and will have an opportunity to showcase their skills while playing high caliber hockey games in front of OJHL coaches and scouts.  Players will experience one on ice team practice, two zoom seminars with one presented by College Hockey Inc., and four combine games.

Each player will be guaranteed one practice and four games with real time scoring with OJHL assigned officials.  Players will also receive an event jersey and participation gift.  The OJHL Combine will also provide tape, skate laces, hand sanitizer and individual energy snacks and isotonic beverages for players. 

All players will have their four games statistics analyzed through InStat and will receive an analytics and scouting report on their performance during the event.  Their analytics and scout report will be sent to all 23 OJHL Teams the week after the Combine.

The OJHL will also work to schedule two seminars using Zoom at times on or around the Combine event dates.

PLAYING RULES            w All OJHL and Hockey Canada playing rules will be used

                                         w No Fighting Allowed

w Any player assessed a Fighting Infraction shall be suspended from the Combine

w Three (3) Stick Infractions by a player in one game will result in ejection from that game

w Three (3) Roughing Penalties by a player in one game will result in ejection from that game

w No 10-Minute Misconducts

w Each team is allowed to receive one Unsportsmanlike Penalty per game.  If that team incurs a 2nd or more Unsportsmanlike Penalties in the same game, any such player committing that penalty will be ejected from that game

w No open-ice body checking.  Body contact only permitted against the boards with the player making the hit is within 6 feet of player with puck possession. The same rule applies when fore-checking in the offensive zone.  Failure to abide by this rule will result in a five (5) minute penalty.

• 2 Divisions
• Birth years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 (non CJHL registered players only)

Breakdown of Teams:

• Up to 5 teams in each division for a total of 10 teams
• 9 forwards, 6 defense per team - 15 players per team x 10 teams = 150 player spots
• 2 Goalies players per team = 20 goalie spots
• Players will check in and register when they arrive at the rink for their first session
